Chevrolet Unveils the All-New Colorado Midsize Pickup

2015 Chevy Colorado reveal

As the LA Auto Show kicks off in California, Colorado is making waves for truck fans across the country. Chevy’s brand-new midsize pickup truck, the Chevrolet Colorado, was recently unveiled at the auto show, and we think it redefines what a midsize truck should be. Going on sale next fall as a 2015 model, the Colorado will have a standard 2.5-liter I4 engine and an available 3.6-liter V6. Both options will feature direct injection and variable valve timing to generate the power truck drivers need while allowing them to return impressive fuel economy.

Chevy expects the Colorado to be able to tow up to 6,700 pounds when properly equipped, making it perfect for New Jersey drivers who don’t need a massive truck for the workweek but want to tow their boat or haul camping gear on the weekends. Chevy also plans to offer a diesel powerplant in the Colorado’s second year, a Duramax 2.8-liter I4 turbodiesel that’s already offered in global markets.

A sporty stance and smooth, sleek lines give the Colorado a sophisticated look that won’t be out of place downtown, but its five- or six-foot bed provides the cargo space needed to carry big items. Three trims will be available, including an off-road-inspired Colorado Z71, as well as two cab options: extended and crew.

Check out photos of the new Chevy Colorado truck. If you can’t wait until next year to buy a new pickup, we’ve got a great selection of vehicles at our New Jersey Chevy dealership, so come test-drive one today!
