How lucky are we? We live in the very state where “Snooky” and “The Situation” hang out! Like it or not, they surely “put us on the map!” If your planning at least a day trip to the Jersey Shore to hang with Snooky and the gang this summer, or where ever your travels take you, it is important to make sure your car is summer ready. What do you need to do to get your car summer ready?
- Remove your snow tires if you have them. In most parts of the country, studded tires are illegal after a certain date.
- Check your alignment. New Jersey and Pennsylvania tend to have many potholes after the winter abuse our roads take. Those potholes are not nice to the wheel alignment on our cars. Keeping your tires aligned will extend the life of your tires. At Rossi Chevrolet Buick GMC, we can check your wheel alignment for only $9.97!
- Check tire pressure. Did you know that too little or too much pressure will decrease your MPG, which means more money at the gas pump? Maintaining the proper tire pressure will also extend the life of your tires. At Rossi, checking your tire pressure is part of our 27 point inspection, which we do at no charge! If you need new tires, we have a 30 day price match on tires.
- Change your oil. If your engine isn’t properly lubricated, heat buildup will cause thermal breakdown. Rossi is running a special – oil change and tire rotation for only $39.95 for conventional oil or $69.95 for synthetic oil.
- Check out belts and hoses. If you can’t remember the last time you changed them, this is very important! A snapped serpentine belt will leave you o the side of the road while your friends are off in search of the perfect wave! Again, this service is part of our 27 point inspection and is done at no charge.
- Check wipers and wiper fluid. Not only do you need good wipers in a rainstorm, you need to get those nasty bugs off your windshield! When you purchase your wiper blades at Rossi, we won’t charge you to install them.
- Check the battery.This is particularly important if you’re driving a vehicle that has been sititng over the winter. Of course you disconnected the battery before you put the car into storage, right? When we perform our 27 point inspection, we check your battery for you. That’s right – at no charge!
- Check the radiator. Summer heat goes hand in hand with summer fun. Make sure your radiator is full, ideally with a 50:50 coolant/water mix. Our coolant system service is $149.00 and includes a complete flush and fluid exchange with up to a gallon of coolant.
- Check the brake, transmission and power steering fluids. Keep that car running and keep yourself safe while on the road.
