The redesigned 2014 Chevy Silverado is now at our New Jersey Chevrolet dealership, and we thought this would be a great opportunity to let our fans know about all the impressive new features! Let’s take a closer look, starting under the hood with a new lineup of fuel-efficient engines. Leading off is a 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 that changes the game by offering plenty of power — 285 horsepower — while still returning a remarkable 24 mpg on the highway. If you need a truck that can be a daily driver while also fulfilling occasional needs for towing and hauling, the V6 is an excellent option that so far has been missing from the truck segment.
Next up is the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8, the most popular option for pickup fans. With 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, this V8 is ready to take on even tougher jobs without missing a beat. Plus, it will automatically sense the load being carried and switch to four-cylinder power when appropriate, helping the powerplant return up to 22 mpg on the highway with 4WD. Finally, we have the big power supplied by the 6.2-liter EcoTec3, the most powerful V8 Chevy has ever offered in a full-size light-duty pickup and more powerful than any of the competitors, generating 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Arriving this fall, this bad boy will combine direct injection, active fuel management and variable valve timing to offer competitive fuel economy out on the road.
Meanwhile, the exterior of the all-new 2014 Silverado features a more sculpted look for a modern rough-and-tumble profile. A new, larger grille and updated bumpers add to the no-nonsense look Chevy fans have come to love.
