We love being involved in our community, and local events that pair fun with helping others are always a great way to get involved! Coming up, the Kitchens of Hunterdon Tour does just that. On Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., you can tour seven homes with professionally staged kitchens in Flemington, Readington and Clinton. Whether your style is contemporary or traditional, you’ll find some great inspiration on the Tour. Plus, each home will offer a delicious tasting prepared by a local chef from such great restaurants as 55 Main, Metropolitan Seafood, Blue Fish Grill and more, and boutiques along the way will offer specialty shopping for even more fun. The best part about the Tour is that it benefits SAFE in Hunterdon, a charity that provides support, counseling, housing and legal advice to adults and children who are survivors of domestic or sexual abuse. SAFE offers abuse victims a 24-hour hotline, free transitional housing and PALS, a unique children’s art-therapy program. Join us at the Kitchens of Hunterdon Tour to help support this incredible program offering a valuable service for those in need.
